TM Arch id: 442
Description: A large group of Greek and Coptic ostraca, often written on both sides, was found by Petrie near the temple of Dendera; they may have belonged to a Coptic monastery and the literary texts (both classical authors and religious christian texts) were probably meant to be studied and learned by heart by the monks.
Studies: Funghi / Martinelli / Römer, ZPE 145 (2003), p. 141-201; Römer / Funghi / Martinelli, ZPE 164 (2008), p. 53-73
Works: Only part of the literary texts is published thus far; the Coptic documents are still being prepared for publication.
