TM Arch id: 564
Protagonist: Amenothes (Go to TM People)
Description: Archive of Greek tax receipts issued to Amenothes son of Harbechis and Senchesthotes, grandson of Amenothes (period AD 118-150). Two receipts are also addressed to his sons Harbechis and Cholmis (TM 77141 and 77365, AD 147). The archive further contains some Demotic private receipts, in which Amenothes’ brothers (Petechenpokrates and Spotous) and other people confirm to Amenothes the payment of wine. The tax archive may have been continued by Amenothes’ son Cholmis, who appears as tax payer in two later receipts (AD 169 and 181).
