| Conservation: | The large collections of ostraca of A.H. Sayce (1845-1933), acquired in Egypt, was originally deposited in Queen's College Oxford, later transposed to the Bodleian Library (cf. BL 2.1, 1931, p. 53); in 1947 they entered the Ashmolean Museum. A limited number of pieces remained in Cairo and are now in the Cairo Museum. Cf. K.A.Worp, ZPE 89 (1991), p.105. |
