Highlights:
History: The collection contains ten Greek papyri plus a number of smaller fragments, one Coptic document and several Arabic pieces. The Greek papyrus no. 7 has been obtained (before 1948) from the late Ralph Van Deman Magoffin. The others were purchased in 1929 in Egypt by Verne B. Schuman for the Latin Departement of Indiana University. Their provenance is unknown, but by internal evidence some of them can be ascribed to Oxyrynchos (no. 1), Theadelpheia (no. 2), Tebtynis (no. 6) or Philadelpheia (no. 7). In time they range from the 1st century BC till the early 4th century AD.
