History

3 papyri. All published.

Dr Agnes Smith Lewis (1843-1926), a manuscript collector and frequent visitor to the Middle East, bequeathed the papyri to the College. No other acquisition details are recorded. Transcriptions of 2 of the papyri made by B. P. Grenfell and A. S. Hunt were found in an envelope addressed to Dr Smith Lewis (see Crawford and Easterling 1971).
