History: The collection of Michaelidis (1900-1973) has been sold after the death of the owner and is now widely scattered all over the world, cf. S. Clackson, The Michaelides Manuscript Collection, ZPE 100 (1994), p. 223-226. To this should be added (letter by S. Clackson, 2001) : Funerary linen items bearing inscriptions in abnormal hieratic, hieratic, demotic, hieroglyphic and Greek were acquired by the Department of Egyptian Antiquities of the British Museum and are described by E. Vassilika, "Museum Acquisitions, 1991", JEA 79 (1993), p. 238-239 no. 24, 25, 37 and 46. Other items from the collection are described in the same article no.14, 26 and 40. The Department of Western Asiatic Antiquities of the British Museum acquired items bearing Aramaic inscriptions, including bowls and mummy labels. Some papyri are now in the Palau Ribes collection, see Emerita 64 (1996), p. 289-294
