TM Language id: 6

Language family and branch: Afro-Asiatic, Semitic (Arabic)

Arabic is the name of a Semitic language written in a script with the same name developed from Nabataean, Syriac and Aramaic.

Trismegistos should have the overwhelming majority of published pre-AD 800 Arabic documentary papyri through the Arabic Papyri Database (APD). Some post-AD 800 material is included as well. The pre-AD 800 literary manuscripts have been added individually as LDAB entries. Coverage of inscriptions is patchy.
