Adopt a Record

If you have landed here, you're interested in adopting a TM record.

Just like animals in a zoo that need to be fed and nursed, TM records need tender loving care from our collaborators. Tender loving care means time, and time is money. That's why we came up with the idea of giving users the opportunity to support Trismegistos by letting them adopt a record. To give anyone the opportunity to support, with whatever amount, we have set the price of records in the TM Texts database at 1 EUR a piece for one year. Works of authors come at 25 EUR, authors themselves at 50 EUR. For those who want to donate a more substantial amount, we have TM Language records at 1000 EUR a piece a year. Other records (places, ...) will follow at a later stage.

To adopt records you need to have a single user subscription. If you already have this, please log in with your personal account (top right corner of this page).
If you do not have a single user subscription, please register first because that is one of the most important sources of income we need to keep TM alive. You will get a complimentary credit of 30 EUR if you subscribe, but, perhaps more importantly, you can set your individual preferences.

You can adopt records by visiting them and clicking the the adoption banner at the top right of a Text or Language detail page. Your credit will be automatically reduced with the amount due, and the record will be adopted for the next year. Your name will be associated with the record, unless you opt to remain anonymous.
