TM Arch id: 421
Description: Only one document, P. Baden 5 137 is precisely dated to AD 967 Oct 19. All other six texts belong for palaeographical reasons to the 10th and 11nd centuries AD according to the editors (check-up with Stegemann, Koptische Paläographie). This is no surprise for these magic texts, especially from such a late period, bearing only few common features like documents, let alone a fixed date. The dialects proves to be similar and might point to the Arsinoites. The manuscripts were bought together as a magic library (’Zauberbibliothek’); other texts might follow to be included in this archive. The name of the owner of this library remains unknown.
Publication: P. Baden 5 122; 137-142
