TM Arch id: 359
Description: Two archives of embalmers were found almost simultaneously. This is the younger archive. The texts are spread over several collections, mainly Cairo, Hamburg and the Ashmolean museum. There is a one generation gap with the older archive. The two archives may be the result of a single find. Most Greek texts are subscriptions or dockets added to Demotic main texts, but some documents are entirely in Greek. Most Demotic texts are title deeds kept in the archive to prove ownership of tombs and houses.
Publication: P. Ashm.; P. Hawara
