Protagonist: Tertia Drusilla is the widow of Valerius Apollinarius. Between AD 119 and 128 her husband had received several loans from Iulius Agrippianus. Since he could not repay them, Agrippianus took possession of the land mortgaged for the loans. Apollinarius dies between 129/130 and 134/135 and his wife now reclaims (part of) the land from Agrippianus' son Agrippinus, apparently because it belonged to her dowry. The case is still unsettled in 147/148. (Go to TM People)

Description: Gaius Iulius Agrippinus is a soldier of the legio II Traiana Fortis, living in Karanis. A large part of the archive deals with a lawsuit against Drusilla, the wife of a deceased fellow-soldier. The documents are petitions, extracts from imperial ordinances, proceedings of legal actions and private letters.
